Our Foundations offering is our on-ramp program designed for brand new athletes interested in CrossFit or Barbell classes. Foundations is a pre-requisite program for any folks who want to take a CrossFit or Barbell class at Resistance but do not have at least 3+ months of CrossFit experience from another affiliate.
While CrossFit and Barbell will significantly improve your overall fitness level, they also utilize a broad range of complex movements that most people have not learned in their athletics careers. You will not master these movements at the end of the Foundations class, but you will have a baseline foundational understanding of how to perform these movements. Once you transition into our CrossFit and Barbell classes, our coaches will scale your workouts (i.e. lighter weights, fewer reps, etc.) appropriately to ensure that you progress safely.
WHAT DO I GET WITH FOUNDATIONS?
The Foundations package is an amazing deal. For only $175, you’ll receive:
- 2 personal training sessions with a Resistance Coach: Each session will be 60 minutes, with a skill and strength component (where you learn the various movements) and a metabolic conditioning workout that we guarantee will get your heart rate up and your sweat on.
- 4 weeks of unlimited HIIT group classes: While you haven’t learned all the technical movements of CrossFit yet, you can still sweat it out in our group HIIT classes for 4 weeks as part of this offering!
- 2 weeks of unlimited CrossFit group classes: You’ll be ready to join our group CrossFit classes after our Foundations offering! Will you be doing the prescribed “Rx” weight? Probably not… and that’s okay! We’ll be watching you closely to make sure you’re doing what’s good for you, and as you get stronger, more experienced, and more confident, we will allow you to build in more weight and reps.
